    Campbell River Camping?

The wife and I want to find a nice spot somewhere around C.R. where we can camp for a couple nights and not have to pay thru the ass for it ( we just spent a $1000 day trip in vancouver) also a nice spot on a lake that we can swim at and suntan naked preferably. anyone got a sweet spot or know of a direction that we can take to get somewhere. I have the 4x4 and am willing to do anything to get to where we wanna go. I need to know by tomorrow afternoon (today is the 13th, Thursday).

    Cheers

there are some lakes north of campbell river called mahon and brewster lake. there very nice lakes and free to camp. you head out of cr and go till you hit menzies bay and turn left onto the menzies main.very easy to find, but to make it easer go to the sporting goods stoor downtown cr and ask the the search and rescue map, its like $8 but worth it. good luck.

    camping in CR

Brewster lake. Not the campsite but if you go past the campsite towards fry lake there is asmall picnic site that has what looks like a steep boat ramp. go down it and it opens on a sweet little private beach. There's even a can close by

we went to the first big spot as you are driving in from the Comox side, there is a site on the left side by the bank, there is a spot on the right side next to a bog type pond thing, and there is a couple spots in the bushes, we found a spot in the bushes, but didn't realie that there was a road to it, we drove through the lake around a couple bends to find it, hahah i've got pics and movies of that. while we were out exploring we found another spot further down the Colake main that is right on a rocky out cropping and has a nice secluded spot enough for like two trucks
